About Halcyon
A practice built on presence.
Our Story
Found in the quiet, steady work
Halcyon started from a simple belief: therapy works best when it feels less like a clinical appointment and more like a conversation with someone who is genuinely paying attention.
Every session is grounded in evidence-based practice, but the pace, the tone, and the focus are always shaped around the person in the room — not a script.

Our Journey
How we got here.
2014
Started in community mental health
Working with individuals navigating anxiety, grief, and major life transitions in a community clinic setting.
2018
Opened private practice
Left the clinic to offer more focused, unhurried one-on-one and couples work, on my own terms.
2024
Expanded into groups and workshops
Added group therapy circles and seasonal wellness workshops for people who heal well alongside others.
Our Approach
Training you can trust, care you can feel.
We draw on established, research-backed methods and adapt them to fit real life — not the other way around. Nothing here is one-size-fits-all.

Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) facilitator

What We Value
Three things that don’t change.
Compassion first
No judgment, no performance — just honest, caring attention.
Curiosity over judgment
We ask questions before we offer answers.

Same time, same steady presence, every single week.
